Oooowwwwww
May. 5th, 2004 08:32 amYou never realise just how much you rest on your elbows until you whack one on the evil soap dish from hell thingy and cut it... and since it's cold today I've got my jean-jacket on, which keeps rubbing on the cut and making it hurt. Then I go and wack th e elbow on the desk.
Went looking at flats on Monday. Found some interesting ones and some that might actually be good. There was a studio apartment at Petrie Terrace that was only $140 a week, that's not too bad when you consider that it's Petrie Terrac e... really expensive there usually. Of course the place had barely enough room to swing a cat but if it's only going to be me living there...
We were fiddling around with our set dances last night. Those that are doing a Hornpipe at States had to figure out which Jig set they were going to do (not sure what they eventually decided on). We who are doing a Jig get to keep doing Downfall of Paris (at 113). I LOVE that dance *big grin*, there's toe runs and overtoes and, well, it's just cool! We've changed the long step in it though. We now do the 1st step of the hornpipe and then right at the end the old long step cuts back in and we keep going as normal, which actually makes it more complicated (and difficult. Overtoes done quickly in a circle do not make for an easy time with balancing *pulls a face* I have to work on that. Actually I have to work on that whole first step. I really haven't been paying much attention to the Hornpipe at class and therefore don't know it very well at all... oops...).
I als o nearly took Rebecca's head off when I clicked on the right leg *snicker*. Most of the girls have learnt get out of my way when I'm clicking 'cause my right leg flys up over my head.. and my left one ain't that far behind it. I also have to teach her Dow nfall... joy...
Oh, Stamatia, are you going to the Crocker Feis? If so I'll be there on the Friday night.
Ohh.. I think I might be going to see Van Helsing with Mum tomorrow too *bounces* It looks good! Of course I'm going to be the one who knows most o f the folklore behind half of the creatures that are going to appear on the screen (and am therefore going to get bugged when we get out of the cinema *sigh*. At least it isn't on TV, Mum can't ask questions while the movies on... and since Dad isn't ther e I won't have to repeat half of what the characters are saying which can get really annoying at times. You're sitting down trying to enjoy a movie with Dad hovering behind the couch watching and every few minutes he's going "huh? What'd they say?" you th en have to keep one ear and eye on the movie and repeat the last few lines of script to him... and he wonders why I get irritated at him when I'm watching movies or things like Alias, which, for some reason, I'm not taping at the time, it's something that you really have to pay attention to, and have to keep repeating dialogue every few minutes *bangs her head on the table*. If it was only occasionally I wouldn't mind, but he does it ALL the time! GAH!!!
