I am officially Europe bound!

Plane flights to Rome (and yes, I know I'm going to be working in Poland, but I'll explain) are booked and paid for. I love my parents, I really do. They paid for my flight over ^__^.

Not only is Mum going to come with me for about 5 weeks on her first holiday in as long as I can remember, but it's also her first trip overseas ^__^.

So, we is Rome bound on the 29th of August. We'll spend a few days there, then train it to Paris (oh, and I forgot to mention the overnight stopover in Tokyo! We're flying JAL). Spend a day or two in Paris then fly to Prague for a few days. THEN we bus it to Warsaw to make our way to Mragowo. I have to be there by the 9th of September.

Today I spent copious amounts of money on clothing at Table Eight. We have a clearance store here so they're not as expensive as a normal Table Eight store. PLUS they're having a winter sale at the moment. I got a skirt for $70 which was usually $139!!!! It was all business-ey clothing that I bought. Dresses and jackets mostly. I got this GORGEOUS 40's style jacket that's greenish and a business one that's gray. I got some beautiful business dresses for $20 each (normally, well, you don't even want to THINK about what the price was normally). All up I spent about $450, but this stuff is good quality. Adding in what I already have in my cupboard I'm all set for Poland.

As well as the stuff from Table Eight I also got a couple of pairs of cordoroy jeans and this gorgeous multicoloured striped jumper. SO COOL!!! And it's lovely and warm.

Also bought a new port. 77L capacity that only weighs 4.3kg (light as light can be). One of those new ports that are  designed with weight limits on flights in mind. It's purple and gray, very pretty! It was on sale as well ($120 from $150). I also got a Lonely Planet: Poland book.

We've had a bit of a cold snap the last week or so. It got down to 6C one night *shivers* We've pulled the doonas out of the cupboard and have them on our beds at the moment. I was running around with a scarf one day!

I'm surviving the course (just). I had the headache from hell last week though. It took me 5 days to get rid of it. I was sneezing a lot last night though and my head's started thumping up again. I'll see how it is tomorrow. I may be taking a Neurofen before bed tomorrow night if it's still thumping.

That's my life in a nutshell right now.
