*to the tune of love is in the air*

Maggies in the air, everywhere I look around.

Maggies in the air, people dropping to the ground.

la la la, la la la la la la la... (I can't figure out anything else to put to the tune just yet. Give me a couple of days and I will.)

Can you guess that a Magpie did the whole "silent-head-crusher-attack" on me this morning? The little bloody bastard made my scalp bleed. It hurt, damnit!! then it had the audacity to follow beside me as I walked, bleeding scalp and all, with a bag over my head to the bus stop.

First thing I knew that I'd been attacked was this feeling like someone had pegged a basketball at the back of my head and punched some thumb-tacs in it facing point out. I figure that the bird was either a) nesting, though it's a little early as I haven't seen any other maggies bombing just yet b) going after the pretty shiny thing in my hair and then suddenly realizing 'Whoops, human', or c) psycho ('cause I saw it swoop some cars too).

I swear, it gets to a certain point of the year and half the bird population goes nutso.

Bloody Magpies. Beautiful bird, but they're vicious little bastards.

My head hurts where I got the silent-head-crusher-attack (and according to mum I have a lovely little mark in my hair where the little bugger got me), but it'll be fine in a couple of days.

On the bright side, at least it wasn't a Pluver... though they at least make noise when they're coming (even when they're trying to be stealthy they can't help but do that annoying call of theirs).

In other news, my mobile number has been successfully switched over to vodaphone. And I had two job interviews today and actually managed to make BOTH of them ( was a little worried that I wouldn't make the second one after Sam's Seafood rung me up asking if they could put the interview time back to 9:45 instead of 8:30 when I had to be at the Gateway campus of Brisbane North Tafe by 11am.) I made it in heaps of time!

The lamp I bought on Saturday (purple dragon that was sitting on a cracked egg that had been hollowed out. Inside were multi-coloured lights and there was a mist maker that you filled with water) had to be taken back today. The blue lights died after about 2 days, and yesterday the mist maker just stopped working. Cleaning didn't help it so mum and dad took it back today and we got our money back. I know a shop that had some gorgeous dragon lamps (that DIDN'T make mist or change colours) at Chermside, and I'll be there tomorrow, so I'm going to have a look. I'm a little ticked 'cause we paid a LOT for the lamp (about $240) and it died after a week. The ones I saw at Chermside were nicer and at least half the price.

So, definately check out chermside. Anyone want to come lamp shopping tomorrow? I'll be there from about 1pm, I have an appointment then but I'll be available after that. I'll have my mobile on.

Anyway, I'm babbling so I'll dissapear now
