Guess what people. I got a job.

In a toy warehouse.

I'm on my feet all day and they're currently killing me. I'd hate to find out how they'd feel if I wasn't wearing comfortableish shoes.

I work Monday-Friday, 7:30-3:30, and get paid $16.46 an hour. They let me operate heavy machinery (like a hand operated pallet lift thingy. I keep crashing into things). They kitted me out with a tape gun, nico pen (fuuuuuuuuumes), stanley knife (very sharp, very pointy *grins*), etc.

I'm also surprised that no-one's been run over by a forklift, the way those guys hoon around in there.

Y'know, I'm jealous of some of these kids. Have you SEEN some of the toys they can get?! Some of them I want! *grins*.

Firstly, this:

My latest icon  in honour of my brand spankin' new computer that dad set up for me for when I move out. Cd-rom, DVD-rom (when I found that out much squeeage ensued). I haven't managed to watch anything on it yet, but I have it there.

And there's also a Haldir wallpaper that I promised to show here (which I didn't make, but it's only a matter of time before I figure out how to do that ^_^). I'll put it behind a cut because it's big.

OMG! I love the icon! lol. Awesome stuff! And thankyou for posting the Haldir wallpaper- I showed Mum and she squealed and almost fainted she loved it so much. Now, Starsky and Hutch are gone, and Haldir is my wallpaper. *sigh* ;-P

Guess what? I learnt how to do screen caps on my dvd rom. I also got the Star Wars dvd's... guess who's been screen capping and iconing like mad? Yup, me *grins*.

Working with toys makes me incredibly jealous of the kids ^_^. But I discovered that, since I'm staff, I might actually get something of a discount.

Working with toys has its downsides. One word: Dust, no sorry, three words. Dust and sore feet.
