Post the first couple of lines from the first entry each month of 2008
January:
Right, well, I should be marking exams. I should be writing report cards... hell, I should be in BED!!! (It's half past bloody three!!), but instead I'm making icons from the new Transformers movie
February:
... I just realised that I haven't told you anything of what I did on my holiday. BAD Sheena! LOL!
So, I'll start with my first day and post one a day ('cause I'm seriously running around like a demented headless chicken on crack at the moment at work. Two new students and only a few months to finish text books that should take 4 semesters, not TWO!! Aaaaaaaaaaaah!!! STRESS!!!)

Scary thing is, I was nodding at most of these (except the anthem. I know both verses of that)
April:
I feel so proud right now...
... why? Because I cooked dinner.
May:
I've been making a ton of icons lately (things have been hectic at work and they're great stress relief) and I thought I might post and share.
June:
I'm not as think as you drunk I am.....yeah.
I've had to go over all of my exams (all 7 classes of them) to see how many of the fails I could drag up to a pass. It took me most of yesterday to mark them (not counting the couple of hours I was at my bosses for my farewell bbq) and I had to go back over every single bloody one. (to give you an idea, the pile of tests is about 4 inches thick!)

I've been home for a few weeks now and haven't really mentioned what I've been doing. Bad Sheena!
So, For about the first week or so I was jet lagged to absolute hell! My first day back I lay down, had a nap, and then gave Mum this "Who the hell are you and where the hell am I?!" look when she woke me up. I was really, really out of it.
August:
I went to Green Island today. Beautiful weather, lovely and sunny, but there was just one small problem...
... lots of wind. Which meant that the seas were up at the 3-4m swell range, which means that the catamaran that I was on was rocking like you wouldn't believe. I nearly fell down a couple of flights of stairs coming down from the top deck. Thank god I've got fast reflexes and caught myself on the handrails. It wouldn't've been pretty otherwise. Broken bones at the least.
September:
I'm flying back to Poland tomorrow. I'll probably be out of contact for a couple of days. The hostel in Warsaw has free WiFi, so I'll try to send an email once I get there.
Also, I rule at packing! Just thought I'd let you know that *grins*. One port (weighing in at 21 1/2 kg), one backpack, one laptop case/backpack, and one sling over one shoulder bag holds the next nine months of my life.

I'm turning into a teacher!
I know, I know. I'm already a teacher. But we got the textbooks today and I got ridiculously excited over the fact that we had textbooks, to the point of running around the office going "Woohoo!!! TEXTBOOKS!!!! w00t!!!! Take that photocopier!" and then doing a very silly dance.
November:
So.. It's Halloween..
...which back home in Australia is usually a non-event. We get maybe one or two teenagers trying to trick or treat (half the time not even in costume), but Halloween isn't really a big thing in Australia. We don't carve pumpkins, we don't really have dress-up parties (though I wish we did. I love dressing up!) and we certainly don't go trick-or-treating.
December:
Right, so I was about to head to bed when I thought "Hey, isn't Star Trek supposed to be coming out at Christmas???". So, I did a quick swing by Youtube to see if I couldn't find the trailer and Jackpot. One full-length, non-teaser trailer *bouncy*bouncy*bouncy*
And before you all start going "Wait! Hang on a second, I thought she was a Star Wars fan..." I have a bit of a confession to make...
... I'm a huge fan of both.
