..... pictures from my visit to Brisbane..

You know, when I dressed  up as a Bar Wench *grin*. It was a LOT of fun and the new Pirates movie is AMAZING!!!!!

My peanut! *snork*

I went and saw it first the Thursday that it opened (not in costume) and WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!!! Was in the theatre with an audience that was REALLY into it (they APPLAUDED at the end of the movie) and boy, does that make a difference the first time you see something.

Oh, and as usual, stay to the end of the credits. Trust me.

I laughed, I cried, I just about fell out of my chair I was laughing that hard at one point (my ribs are STILL sore), I cried again... I almost got blinded at one point (pitch black to bright white does NOT a good combination make. Ow), I laughed.

Expect quote icons from the movie from me in the near future. There were a LOT of snork worthy quotes in that movie. I've already got one idea floating in my head.

Next time I went and saw it was on the Saturday night. In costume. Wearing a bodice that did the whole "Uppy squishy" thing with my chest (first words I said when I first saw myself in a mirror was "Oh, my, god. I've got CLEAVAGE!!!!.... where the hell did THAT come from?!?!"). I was most impressed. Unfortunately, by the time I got pictures of myself in the costume the twine that was holding the bodice together had kinda come undone so the uppy-squishy effect had been lost.

Now, the costume was quite a few layers.. which is great when you're walking down the street in winter (brisbane winter, so no snow or anything like that, but cold for me). Bottom layer: White skirt and white floofy blouse that I am not so secretly coveting. I love poet sleeves. Second layer: red skirt. Third layer: blue skirt. Fourth layer: Yellow apron and green bodice. As I said, lovely walking down the street (you've got no idea how much we got stared at), but sitting in the theatre it was kinda hot. They had the heaters on or something *fans herself*. I should've packed my fan that I bought in China, it would've gone with the costume.

I had an absolute ball. We stopped off for ice-cream on the way home at Cold Rock. I love Cold Rock. We need one up here in Cairns... we also need a Nandos, but that's another story.

Anyway, before I forget, here's a little something for Banditscribe's birthday:
